COVID 19 – POST REOPENING STATEMENT

BEST PRACTICE - OUR SERVICE EXPERIENCE | REVISED 12|04|2021

Thank you for choosing to visit us at Off the Rails Yarmouth. Along with new government guidelines and what we believe is our new guest expectation since the coronavirus pandemic of 2020/21, we have documented how the team at Off the Rails will ensure your time with us is both safe and enjoyable.

ENSURING YOUR SAFETY

Off the Rails uses the very best anti-bacterial cleaning and sanitising products from Cleenol. As well as being high quality products designed specifically for the hospitality industry, they are also known to be socially responsible for the environment and have been reviewed to ensure they make the mark in relation to sanitation. We would advise customers to use the sanitising stations at key locations at the restaurant.

We have carefully placed self-cleaning stations at the entrance of the restaurant and restrooms for your peace of mind. Therefore, we would expect anyone coming in to the restaurant to make use of them and clean their hands.

THE TEAM

Off the Rails has a zero-risk policy regarding any of the team working with any symptoms of coronavirus or flu. Staff members are requested not to attend work should they have any symptoms whatsoever and isolate according to the Government guidelines and until they are cleared to return to work.

All members of the team that are without COVID19 symptoms are required to undertake Lateral Flow Tests twice weekly and the use of this testing will be strictly monitored by the restaurant management. If the employee tests positive they will not attend work, self-isolate immediately and book a PCR test for people with symptoms.

Our team of Chefs practice the highest standard of hygiene, they wear PPE, and practice social distancing where possible
No Cash- Currently we are not accepting cash. We accept all cards and contactless payments with social distancing.

BOOKING OFFICE & DINING AREA

We are confident the measures we have adopted and made our best practice will ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay with us. Feel assured that we will continue to communicate with all our guests, chat to you about your day and give you plenty of smiles and good service, even if we are wearing masks. We expect these measures to be temporary and look forward to removing them one by one or entirely when times permit, and it is safe to do so. We strongly suggest booking prior as we cannot guarantee availability on the day. Please note the new government guidance as we can only offer an outside service until 17th May 2021. Gatherings outside should only be occurring in groups of up to two households (including support bubbles) and we can also accommodate a maximum group gathering of six people from any number of households.

For all customers, we have a legal obligation and need to take some contact details via the NHS AP in case the NHS needs to contact you via Track & Trace Service. If you do not have a mobile telephone you will be provided with a form to fill in and your details will be kept for 21 days only and destroyed after the cooling period. Please be aware that we have a legal right not to serve you if you do not comply with these guidelines.

the dining area from 17TH may 2021

We have re-designed the layout of your restaurant to ensure all tables are distanced 1metre + apart and or are facing back to back. Our team members will take orders at safe distance which will marked on the floor, with custom designed masks and black disposable gloves. For those dining indoor a single member of the team will be assigned to your table.

We would kindly ask you place your empty plates at the end of your meal at the front of your table or bench. Table settings will be laid just before your dining time. Points of contact have been removed where possible, and newspaper menus are in use and can be purchased as a single use or if you prefer you can access our digital menus on your personal device from our website www.offtherialsyarmouth.co.uk.

It is therefore advisable to reserve tables in advance to guarantee a table. We would kindly remind our customers with young children that they are fully responsible for their supervision at all times and should adhere to social distancing.
Condiments have been replaced with individual single serve portions. Our wooden tables and other touch points are carefully cleaned after each guest service. We will operate two sittings during higher demand breakfast, lunch and dinner to avoid crowding. For this reason, each table will have a maximum 1.5-hour slot.

Many thanks for your consideration and we hope you will have an enjoyable visit.

Kind regards,

OTR Management
